FCRJ offers ‘heartfelt’ thanks

Letter to the Editor of the The Mountain Mail - Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Dear Editor:

Full Circle Restorative Justice in Chaffee County would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who donated and participated in the 2016 “Golf for Peace” Golf Scramble and Silent Auction on Aug. 28 at the Salida Golf Club.

FCRJ has held this event for the past 3 years and it is gaining momentum. Tom Breunich, one of the main organizers, summed up events: “Wow, what a day, what an event, what fun and positive energy for a great cause – the Full Circle Restorative Justice fundraiser. Thirty-seven golfers, lots of great silent auction items, good food and liquid refreshment to finish a Sunday afternoon off.”

Full Circle Restorative Justice works to implement restorative practices in the schools and justice system by promoting a peaceful community justice approach to conflict resolution, while helping repair the harm caused by criminal behaviors through a restorative justice process which holds offenders accountable and empowers and heals victims and communities.

Thank you to the following businesses and individuals who helped to make this year’s event a success, raising approximately $4,500:
